The
contemporary times with their pressing needs and challenges
are forcing humanity into retrospection about its pains
and gains. While we all should take pride in our scientific
and technological achievements, we should also bear the
shame of increasing violence, stark selfishness, and a
disappearing concern for fellow beings. However, such
darkness can be eliminated only by lighting a lamp, no
matter how small the lamp. Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya
is one such lamp, which was lit in 1977. Inspired by and
based on the lofty teachings of Paramahansa Ramakrishna
and his illustrious disciple Swami Vivekananda, it has
been trying to inculcate faith in oneself, to discover
the joy of effort, to have a concern for the fellow beings,
and to ignite a quiet confidence, among its students.
It is managed by the Ramarpan Education Society, New Delhi,
and patronized by the LNJ BHILWARA GROUP. In its twenty-eight
years of existence, it has been trying to spread the light
in the life of its students as well as teachers.
Education is manifestation
of the divinity already in man.
MILIEU FOR GROWTH & DEVELOPMENT
Its sprawling campus of forty-eight acres, with
the sylvan surroundings makes it an ideal location for
education, well away from the din and bustle and pollution
of the urban areas.
Persistent efforts have transformed this once dry campus
into a green oasis. Shady walkways, emerald green lawns
and flowering plants populating the campus make it an
ideal haven for learning. Located on the Gulabpura -Shahpura
road, it is four kilometers away from the Gulabpura town,
which is around seventy kilometers from both Ajmer and
Bhilwara. The Vidyalaya has been proving that resources
and opportunities are not really lacking in the rural
areas. It has been earnestly trying to inculcate the message
of excellence and self-confidence in facing life, among
its students.
